as i initially mentioned, there is a real chance this power supply could be the cause of the problem.
i’ve noticed others experiencing similar issues with this brand’s products.
it might even have already harmed other parts when it was first turned on;
however, since the older model still ends up in the same situation, you’d probably want to remove it from your list of suspects now.
unless you have spare components like ram, cpu, or the motherboard available to test, or someone who can lend them for a trial, one simple solution is to take the system to a nearby computer shop and run the tests for you.
hopefully your setup won’t face similar problems in the future.
since we don’t disclose the exact model or warranty details, we’ll assume it’s a lower-tier line and just hope for the best.
it comes with a platinum certified 10 year warranty. i don’t think it alters anything.
none of what you’ve said has been useful or insightful beyond the first suggestion to try the power supply and send it to a shop.

Fair enough, I thought it might be worth checking for a PSU problem even though everything seems normal—it just doesn’t post. I’m not very familiar with this, as it’s my second build.
Consider checking with a nearby store to try it out on any random LGA 1700 board or another identical one you own. If it boots, then your board might be faulty. Also, a weak PSU would only provide basic boot requirements without loading any OS drivers, which raises doubts about the setup.
I think I'll probably send the board and processor back for replacement, try again with a different PSU first, and then switch to the new one once I resolve the issue. Thanks for the assistance.
