Here’s a revised version of your message:

I’m not typically someone who starts threads, but I’m really puzzled. I upgraded from a 2070 model to a 5070ti two days ago. The installation went smoothly—no problems. I used DDU to remove my drivers and then downloaded the new ones.

Now, when I usually play Apex with my girlfriend, it tends to crash frequently. It’s not well maintained, so it crashes every time it starts running, even on my older GPU. But with the 5070ti, it’s not just Apex that fails—it’s all of them. Previously, crashes happened in League of Legends, Valorant, or Apex itself. Now, everything seems unstable. The freezes and crashes mainly involve the image freezing while the sound keeps playing, though I’m unsure if the audio is normal or just random glitches.

I’ve tried various solutions: reinstalling games, removing the NVIDIA app, updating drive4rs, playing without G-Sync, using G-Sync, and more. Still, I’m stuck. I’m planning a fresh Windows install, which will also include a new driver setup, but I don’t know what to expect. There’s even a possibility that moving my mouse too quickly on one of the secondary monitors causes stuttering and freezing—something I haven’t experienced before.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

My system specs:
- CPU: Intel Core i9 12900KS
- GPU: Z790 Aorus Elite AX
- RAM: 32GB
- GPU: Gigabyte RTX 5070ti Windforce
- Cooler: Noctua NH D15
- Power Supply: Corsair RM750x

Update: After trying Baldur's Gate 3, it worked fine at first but later started crashing just like other games. It now shows a DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG error. I’ve followed various fixes online and tried multiple Windows updates, but nothing seems to help. I’m considering jumping into the BIOS and changing PCIe settings.

Any further guidance would be invaluable—I’d love to see this work properly.

there is a lot of cpu power needed for an air cooler to manage.
verify that when using the adapter with the gpu, you are providing two separate 8-pin cables for the two separate gpu cables. since each cable supplies 150w, using one will cause instability.
also disable gpu acceleration in windows display under graphics, as it doesn’t work well with nvidia cards. i play fornite and this setting keeps causing my match to fail or making the pc crash.
