Over the past week my computer has been experiencing frequent shutdowns, and I urgently need guidance to resolve this. To give a clear picture of the problem, while gaming or browsing the internet, my PC would abruptly power off and then restart almost immediately, without any noticeable delay, lasting less than half a second. I’m struggling to identify the cause, as these interruptions seem unpredictable. The shutdowns aren’t completely random; sometimes certain actions in specific games trigger the full shutdown sequence, such as during intense moments in games like Read Dead Redemption 2, where I can play for hours without issue, but even a brief interaction with an NPC causes my PC to shut down and restart. This inconsistency is very confusing.

I’ve tried several solutions and made adjustments: updated the BIOS, refreshed all drivers, replaced the power supply unit, swapped out the CPU, added new RAM, used a different Windows account, and kept system temperatures stable. These changes have altered the pattern of shutdowns—shifting from occasional restarts to complete shutdowns, then back on after a short delay, and changing how often they occur. It’s becoming increasingly difficult to understand what’s happening.

I value any advice or support someone can offer, thank you.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer! The only change you haven’t made is swapping out the motherboard, and I’m considering the VRM on the motherboard could be the main problem. Try placing a fan near the VRM and see if it improves things.
For your reference, please state the BIOS version for your motherboard.
Using the PC with a new Windows account
Did you reinstall the operating system in offline mode? Speaking of operating systems, what OS are you running?
7800XT
You referred to the GPU chip; which AIB card do you own? Some AIB cards ship their chips overclocked.
All my drivers updated
I hope you didn’t install a third-party driver updater. If you did, that might be the cause.
Temperatures are normal
What cooling method are you using for the processor?

Thank you for your reply. I'm not very familiar with PCs, so please give me some time.
My BIOS version is 5021 and the operating system is Windows 11.
I'm unsure about the meaning of reinstalling the OS in "offline mode." I just reinstalled Windows without deleting any files and tested my PC using a new Windows user account to check for any software conflicts.
I didn't use any third-party drivers; I updated them myself.
My CPU cooling is handled by a Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE unit.
