So a pc i built two years ago has been having no issues started a few months ago, taking some time to turn on. By last month it needed to be powered on at the PSU then left for 10-15 minutes before the power button would finally start it up. Two weeks ago it just stopped working completely. The motherboard leds light up when the PSU is powered on.

I tried these steps:
A) Activated the pins for the power switch on the motherboard, but no effect.
B) Used a paperclip to test the PSU, no issues.
C) Used RAM from a different working pc, nothing worked.
D) Tried with the graphics card removed, nothing.
E) Swapped out the motherboard with a new one, still nothing.

I don’t know what to do next.

the paperclip test covers limited functionality.
complete system specifications should account for the PSU's brand and model.

CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:

Include the age of the PSU along with its make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this time.

The paper clip method is a limited test. It confirms functionality but doesn't reveal the full power output potential when under load.

CPU model is Ryzen 5600G with AMD Wraith cooler. Motherboard is ASUS Prime B550 M, replaced with ASUS Prime B550M-A WiFi II. RAM includes DDR4 Vengeance 16GB at 32MHz. Storage options are Crucial P3 Plus M2 SSD/HDD. GPU is MSI GTX 980. Power supply is Mars Gaming 850W MPIII850, two years old. Chassis is Mars Gaming MC-ART ATX. Operating system is Windows 10 Home. Monitor is a BENQ 23.8" 1080P eye-care display. I don’t have the current BIOS information; I just removed the new motherboard from the box and installed it, but it still won’t power on and I can’t access the BIOS.

I plan to test the PSU on another PC just to confirm. Then I'll get a new one if needed. Thanks for the useful list—it's really helpful.
