My brother recently assembled his new PC but is facing issues connecting a display to the monitor. Since he hasn’t installed a dedicated GPU yet, there’s no graphics card in the system. All components appear functional, though there are no visible debug lights on the motherboard. We attempted a BIOS update, but we can’t confirm its success because the flashback LED isn’t present. I’ve brought my PC to test the hardware, but he lives far away, so we’re doing our best before he heads out.

Have you completed the steps shown in this video?
Check the view: https://youtu.be/fqKs9fekNNY
The same principle applies even with a different board.
The LED must be positioned precisely where the BIOS FlashBack button is situated (the gap between the Wi-Fi antenna and the BIOS FlashBack button), suggesting you might have selected the incorrect USB port.

He's using the correct port with the outline around it, and we confirmed the manual. We thought the slit was the LED, but he didn't notice. Since it's not lighting up, I'll ask him to watch the video again. Also, the manual advises downloading an additional file during a flashback and naming it differently from what's in the video.
