The connector might get harmed when the graphics card uses excessive energy and the power source delivers over 500 watts to the 6-pin port, though this won't happen if the power source is insufficient.

It definitely makes sense to wait for amd to release a new driver. The card is great !

well it didn't blow up or anything, and from what I could tell, a descent 650 watt psu should be enough for a 9070xt. So what could possibly go wrong? The system was unstable, but the card might have been damaged somehow—hard to believe, honestly. And my last card was a 6700xt, so it was an AMD model, yet I used DDu anyway.

While working on it, I'm causing a lot of damage. -30% power (212 w), faulty PSU, poor DDR, defective motherboard, maximum graphics options, and it worked.

you should do that because i didn't need to use any random third-party driver installer for any reason. i removed the chipset driver and then reinstalled it.
