Hello everyone
I have some issues with my English, but I’ll try my best to clarify...
I own a Sapphire Nitro+ RX 6600 XT GPU. Whenever I launch certain games, the screen goes black and the PC restarts. This doesn’t happen with every game—some titles like Last of Us Part 1, Red Dead Redemption 2, and Arma 3 run for hours without problems, but most others crash after just a few minutes. I’ve tried games that don’t heavily use the GPU, such as Raft, yet they still cause crashes.
My system details are:
- ASUS B450M Dragon
- AMD Ryzen 3700X
- Sapphire Nitro+ RX 6600 XT
- 32 GB RAM at 3200 MHz
- 650W PSU (I’ve used three different brands: Xygate, Deepcool, Gigabyte)

I attempted the following fixes:
* Changed the PSU
* Disabled automatic driver updates
* Ran DDU and reinstalled graphics drivers (it worked once, but restarts again the next day)
* Turned off DCOM
* Undervolting
* Removed all overclocking settings on CPU and RAM
* Temperatures are normal
* Disabled ULPs
* Installed drivers without Adrenalin
* Ran memtest on RAM and tested with different modules

It seems only in Cyberpunk 2077, when using base CPU clock speeds, the PC restarts after a few minutes. When I enable Core Performance Boost or PBO, everything works perfectly, but other games still cause restarts regardless of settings.
Anyone has suggestions on how to resolve this?

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
650W PSU (I tested with three different brands: xigmatek, deepcool, gigabyte)
650W is the rated power of the device, while the brands you listed are all different models. What model are your units and how recent are they?
You didn’t mention the case make and model, the fans inside, or their orientation. What is the temperature in your room? What are the GPU and CPU temperatures when you see a black screen?
Are you using an ASUS B450M Dragon?
To be honest, pairing such a motherboard with a processor you’re using wouldn’t have been ideal. A better choice would have been one with strong VRM cooling. You could attach self-adhesive heatsinks to the VRM and use a fan to direct airflow and cool that area.
What BIOS version is installed on your motherboard right now?

Hello Lutfij, thank you
I have models of psus: Gigabyte P650B, Deepcool PK650D, Xigmatek X-Power EN42654
My setup is an MSI Mag vampiric with two fans front, two fans top and one exhaust. The ambient room temperature is usually between 18 - 22 degrees Celsius. In-game temperatures are CPU: 45-60°C, GPU: 55-65°C, and the VRM temperatures I measured are 65-75°C.
I manually tested the VRM temperatures and found them to be higher than expected. After installing PRO drivers via DDU, the issue seems resolved since I use Pro drivers; however, I’m still unsure why Adrenalin drivers are crashing. It might be a problem with VBios or drivers.
