Hello everyone, I'm considering boosting my RAM speed for Ryzen. Since I was on a tight budget, I got a 2400mhz HyperX Fury with 8GB RAM and a Ryzen 7 2700x at 4ghz. The CPU runs at 10-15% faster with the current setup. I'm wondering if it's possible to push the RAM up to around 3000mhz and would appreciate some advice before spending more money. My system specs are as follows: CPU, Ryzen 7 2700x at 4ghz; Motherboard, Asus Prime B450 Plus; RAM, HyperX Fury 2400mhz 2x8GB; GPU, RTX 2060; Power Supply, Cooler Master Elite v3 600w.

There's a handy program to help you with that:
https://www.techpowerup.com/download/ryz...alculator/
just be aware that Hynix chips based memory doesn't OC very good.
http://www.softnology.biz/files.html
can help you find what exact chips and settings is in that RAM .

CountMike needs to identify the exact die RAM to determine the Safe OC using the DRAM Calculator. This will help assess the optimal settings for your memory.

I own a Hynix AFC (A die) RAM (G.Skill TridentZ RGB F4-3200C16D-16GTZR) running at 3400 MHz alongside my Ryzen 5 2600, which is already optimized to 3.9 GHz.

I pushed my CPU up to 4.075 but settled for 3.9 GHz for continuous performance.

I used the calculator, though I kept timings at DOCP 3200 instead of fine-tuning, which might have taken a lot of time.

The results are stable, and the memory OC clearly impacts game benchmarks (AC Odyssey, FF XV, FC 5).

Even though Samsung B die RAMs offer better optimization, my Hynix A dies can still be adjusted slightly.
