I wanted to try my first manual memory overclock with G.SKILL F4 DDR4 3200 C16 2x8GB. It was just for fun to explore the limits of my system. The original XMP profile was set at 3200mhz with CL 16 and 1.35V, achieving a latency around 52ns. My final overclock before running out of time, which had passed four successful passes on MEMTEST86, was running at 3600mhz with TRCL 17, TRCD 20, TRP 20, TRAS 43, and 1.4V, achieving a benchmark of 47.5ns. I left TRAS on auto, which settled to 43, though I wasn’t sure if the RAM latencies were adjusted correctly—it still seemed quite stable. Generally, you’d start by reducing TRCL and TRP by one, test, then lower TCRD by one, test again. Continue this process until instability appears, then go back to a stable setting. I was unsure about adjusting voltages properly, so I checked other overclocking guides and rounded up as long as voltages stayed under 1.5V. Let me know if you have any advice or suggestions.

My memory manufacturer type appears as 04CD when I use the cmd line. Do you know the correct type for G.SKILL F4 DDR4 3200, Part No: F4-3200C16-8GTRG?
What processor should I install for an Intel i7 10700?
Edit: Don’t rely on benzhaomin B-die finder! I double-checked my RAM and it’s definitely a Samsung C-die. I also found a helpful guide. For finding the B-die, look for chips with 3200 or higher speeds and CL 14, though they might be rare or discontinued?
Also, congratulations on your achievement. I checked overclocking sites and found good latency info for the Samsung C-die.
