I use the following components: AMD Athlon II X4 620, 1.6Ghz processor, 500 watt PSU, 6GB DDR2 400MHz RAM, VGA GTX 650 Ti. I want to overclock my PC, but I currently have only 2.8Ghz with overclock in BIOS, FSB at 215, Multiplier x13, HT speed x5, and NB x10. Why am I increasing the FSB above 215? Will this cause a downgrade of processor speed? Exp, if FSB is 300 and Multiplier x13 gives me 1.4Ghz, I understand now. Sorry for my poor English.

Increasing FSB also raises frequencies for other parts like the north bridge, memory, and PCIe, making the system unable to handle further increases.

Thank you,
for your help with the overclock. I only use the Infinity Controls software, and I got 3 GHz. Thanks for answering my question.
