Playing with XTU was done to get ready for system upgrades. It worked on my i7-8700 while using a 3D rendering package. The dashboard showed it reaching 10.55 GHz at one moment. This result is possible? Yes. Screenshot attached.

No, it is not possible. You found a bug in XTU. The i7-8700 has a locked maximum multiplier. It is physically impossible for it to run at 10 GHz.

I had already tested my configurations in XTU and found a result of 5.5 GHz, which is below the processor's maximum capacity of 4.6. Clearly, these speeds aren't consistent—XTU only supports Turbo Boost with the i7-8700 chip.

In my opinion, you should go back to stock clocks since you're exceeding the specifications for what was originally intended.

That's what I was considering too — last night I tried running CPUID HWMonitor alongside XTU, but the results didn't match. Well, that should be fine now! I'm planning to get an i7-8700k soon, along with some other upgrades like more RAM and an Nvidia GPU. I'll also make a small case modification for better ventilation (the SFF case has none, lol).

I'm not entirely confident it accomplished anything
😉
I'll wait for the new processor to arrive and then experiment with it once everything is set up.
