Question Overclock appears in OS yet remains hidden in BIOS
I have an older setup (ASUS P8Z77-V PRO and i7-3770k) that was configured at default settings for a long time. I began experimenting with overclocking this evening and reached 4.4GHz with 1.25v using a Hyper 212+. My core temperatures were around 90°C according to HWmonitor while performing 8K FFT tests in Prime95. When adjusting the BIOS clock to 4.3GHz, the OS (Windows 10-64) still displayed the CPU as clocked at 4.4GHz. After resetting the BIOS back to stock, the OS still showed the incorrect clock speed. I've checked the BIOS again but haven't found any changes. Could you guess what might be happening? I've seen many people with BIOS overclocks that don't appear in the OS, but this is the opposite case here.
