I don’t understand the difference between CPU or GPU overclocking, and whether to overclock your laptop. Also, it seems confusing that your FPS dropped from 100 to 30 after removing the charging cable—please clarify what’s happening.

Your CPU i5-8250U cannot be overclocked, which shouldn’t cause any problems. Regarding the GPU, I don’t think there are many options for overclocking in AMD cards, and laptops usually limit performance to avoid heat problems. If you still want to try, adjust your AMD Radeon Settings. Here’s a video I found: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r23q4EWU7U0.

Turboboost simply means the processor can change its clock speed up or down based on demand, helping it stay cooler and more efficient while saving power.

Using high performance mode in Windows Power Options will increase FPS but will quickly drain your battery.
