Question on VMWare

Hi
I set up my real OS on the NVMe drive and also have an HDD connected to my PC. I installed a virtual OS using the WMWare player, assigning storage to the HDD instead of the NVMe. This way, the virtual OS shows it as running on the NVMe, but in reality it's using the HDD. Also, checking the properties in the WMWare player. Does the WMWare use my NVMe? If yes, how should I disable it?

Examine the right side of that window; the virtual file is located at F:\Virtual machines. It merely mimics an NVMe port for the virtual operating system.

I understand but I believe WMware utilizes NVMe as a cache.
