Hello, I am learning to be a better typist in multiple layouts. I thought this type of software would be abundant but I've hit a brick wall
I would like to find an OSK thats similar to keybr.com
There is something called Hot Virtual Keyboard, but it is a paid service, I don't know if there is a lite free version.
The Windows OSK actually has this behaviour programmed in, but for some reason the only keystrokes that are displayed in their OSK are Shift, Win, Alt and Ctrl. There is no option for it to display every key, which I'm sure if it was open source, would probably take a couple of minutes to reprogram.
I am using 3 different layouts so the OSK with keystroke display would really speedify my learnings

Not sure if it accurately displays key presses (it should).
For other alternatives, OBS Studio offers an input device overlay, though it's mainly for recording or streaming to indicate key usage. It can still be useful for your purposes, but setup is quite involved.
Another method I’m aware of involves Corsair KB with iCUE support. Within iCUE, you can choose specific "key lighting" effects that illuminate all keys pressed, showing them on the screen during preview mode. I tested it and found it functions even when iCUE isn’t active, and you can adjust the duration of the keylight after it’s pressed.
