I brought it to a specialist, but they seem to lack the same understanding as me. They mentioned the CPU might be broken because of the mobile lights. Based on what happened before, I don’t think this is likely, since the CPU wasn’t touched or moved during the GPU swap. The MOBI may have been damaged, especially with the card’s weight.
I plan to test the CPU on another PC to confirm. If it works there, I’ll assume the MOBI failed.
Also, the PSU was dead and didn’t power the PC at all. My new one does work, and the old one had a burning smell from it. Luckily, Corsair PSUs come with a 10-year warranty.
In such situations, it's possible the PSU carried away the motherboard when it failed. It's uncommon to find a high-quality PSU die in this way. If you think the PSU might have taken any part with it, be sure to note it in the RMA to Corsair for the PSU. The CPU light being on could indicate issues beyond just the CPU, but since the PSU failed, it's likely the CPU wasn't saved.
