I just purchased a 5070 yesterday and every time I attempt to start my PC it crashes. It either restarts after a delay, shows lagging with no signal, or stops completely when I log in. I don’t know what’s causing it.
My current setup includes:
Motherboard: GIGABYTE Z490M Gaming X
CPU: Intel Core i9-10900F
Old GPU: GTX 1050 Ti
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (4x8GB)
SSD: WD_BLACK 1TB SN850X
PSU: Corsair RM1000e
I’ve been gradually improving my PC over the past few months, and everything worked fine until I added the new 5070. Please help me figure out the issue.

Ensure the 4-pin, 8-pin, and 24-pin power connections are securely fastened to both the motherboard sockets and the PSU.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
Your system includes a Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (4x8GB) RAM kit. Do you have a link for this setup? I assume it's a 2x8GB configuration, doubled for two units.
Your power supply is a Corsair rm1000e.
How recent is your PSU?
I've been gradually improving my PC over the last few months; everything functioned well until I added the 5070, could you assist?
What were your previous components and what upgrades did you make besides the RTX 5070?
If you were using a GTX 1050 Ti, did you install DDU before switching to the RTX 5070?

update the motherboard BIOS if a newer version exists (F24a)
which PCIe port is connected on the motherboard?
are all fans still running? sometimes recent upgrades can cause cables in fans or the CPU cooler to become loose. how hot is your CPU during BIOS operation?
reset the BIOS/CMOS using a jumper
how was the power connected to the 5070? did you use any adapters?
would it work if you tried the GPU on another system?

I just purchased the PSU in May. My previous setup was identical except for the motherboard, which had an Intel Core i5-10400f, GTX 1050 Ti, Sabrent SSD (I don’t recall the model), and Corsair CX650M. I updated DDU and refreshed my BIOS, but nothing changed—only the display is malfunctioning or restarts entirely. My CPU remains stable at 60%. After resetting the BIOS it still doesn’t work.

I used the 2x6 from the PSU without any adapters. Unfortunately, I don’t have another system to test the GPU on.

Do you rely on the cables from your current PSU or your previous one? Opt for fresh power wiring. The 2x6 size won’t suffice; are you connecting via the 12HVPWR power connector, and are there any intermediate adapters?

i'm using my fresh psu cables. i'm not connecting the power connector or any adapters. i'll check if there are any remaining cables from my psu box.

It still doesn't function despite using the power connector.

I confirmed whether a BIOS reset was performed or if an update occurred. The GPU was installed in the x16 slot closest to the CPU.

I reset it and CMOS. I also installed my GPU next to the CPU.
