Question My radeon hd 6770 doesn't work with hdmi
The device I own is a gateway dx4300-11 with a GPU of a radeon hd 6770. The issue is that the HDMI connection isn’t working. I’ve tried four different cables, so the cable isn’t the issue. I checked the motherboard to confirm there’s no signal to the HDMI port; everything seems properly connected. I removed and reinstalled the GPU and RAM sticks, and the computer starts up normally with fans running and lights on. It sounds like the problem is simple. I’m 16 years old and new to this, so any advice would be greatly appreciated. The computer has been sitting for 15 years and previously worked fine. I’m unsure what type of cable was used for the monitor connection, as I can’t recall it, and the CMOS battery is dead. I don’t want to lose important data such as photos and videos.
If you require additional details to assess your issue, please let me know.
I turned off the RAM and heard a buzzing sound, which was what a friend advised me to do.
the display device?
how was this computer functioning earlier?
Yes and the mount is an old element mount that's smaller than a TV.
