It appears the issue occurs only when the GPU is connected. I purchased a new PSU because my PC wouldn’t power on with the GPU attached.

I possess the suggested psu wattage and every psu wattage calculator I’ve used indicates a requirement of 400 to 550w

Assuming the GPU is functioning properly, if it's drawing excessive current, the issue is likely with the GPU itself rather than the power supply. Since the same symptom appears with both PSUs, it suggests a GPU-related problem. Do you have another GPU available, or could you test with an integrated GPU?
