I own a Nvidia GTX 1080 that's still in perfect condition, but Nvidia isn't updating its drivers for me. That's puzzling... Besides the desire for more money, I'm not sure why.

You are in a country where 1080 is still sold new. It's surprising you can't find an updated driver, how are you looking? I just looked up the 1080 driver and found it listed as 566.36 on 5/12/2024. The site is US-based, so if you're unsure, try searching for GeForce drivers directly from the official site and do a manual search. Download the newest official GeForce drivers to improve your PC gaming performance and speed up app execution. www.nvidia.com

I notice several items available for sale. Most appear to be from third-party sellers. Sorry if this is causing any issues. The GTX 1080 is quite outdated, likely older than six or seven years. If you bought the card recently, it might be best to return it. Even entry-level models like the AMD RX 6600 or 7600 offer better performance and are more recent compared to a 1080.

It isn't brand new. It was made 8 years back.
By now, they haven't produced versions for several years.
In any case, visit geforce.com and get the newest drivers that match your card.

Apologizing this way is because you're the person we think should be held responsible, especially since we can't locate other drivers.

Ensure Windows is current. No issues should prevent obtaining a driver update for your card. A manual search revealed the most recent driver available, which was released five days ago.
Driver Details | NVIDIA
Download the <language> <name> for <os> systems. Released <release_date>.

Also check if the card is genuine using gpuz. There shouldn't be a big triangle with an explanation mark.

My computer is current. The driver that wouldn’t update was Dec 5, 566.36. I’m not sure what benefit a new GPU would bring. My graphics are great. Well, they just want me to pay up to $2000.00 for one. Thanks to everyone.

If everything functions properly, updating drivers isn't necessary.
Stay prepared—older hardware driver support will eventually stop being available.
However, it doesn't matter whether your system has the newest or best drivers.
