I purchased a second-hand 1660ti from Facebook Marketplace in September 2023, and since then my experience has been quite frustrating. Initially, all my games would crash after just 15 minutes of playtime. I adjusted the in-game settings and graphics options, but nothing resolved the issue. Switching the motherboard didn’t help either. Later, I upgraded from 8GB to 16GB of RAM with the same 3200MHz memory, which allowed the games to run for about an hour before crashing again. I even tested the GPU at a friend’s computer with a better setup and it worked perfectly there. For three days, I gave him the GPU to test everything thoroughly, but whenever I tried to play on my own PC, it would crash immediately. I’m struggling and need assistance. Also, whenever I attempt to install the GPU after cleaning it, my PC won’t power on at all—no sounds even though the BIOS speaker is functional. When my friend installed the GPU, everything worked fine. At this point, I feel like I’m in a bit of trouble or facing some kind of problem.

Did you use a previous GPU? Was XMP activated for the RAM? Is the motherboard BIOS current?

before installing, I used a regular GPU but switched to the vega iGPU that came with the 3200g. XMP was turned on and the BIOS was updated.
