I have a Lenovo E440 laptop that’s been around for about eight years, running Windows 10. About once a year, during heavy tasks or when opening multiple apps, the app freezes for roughly ten seconds. Then explorer.exe stops, followed by the taskbar and start menu freezing, and eventually explorer.exe crashes, causing the taskbar and all explorer windows to shut down. 😐
Sometimes the mouse cursor also freezes briefly. This occurs around ten times a day.
It seems unlikely to be caused by software issues—reinstalling a newer Windows 10 update resolved the problem, and it became less frequent as the system ran lighter.
The issue doesn’t appear related to RAM, battery, charger, WiFi, or other components.
How can I confirm whether the problem stems from an SSD (which would be easily replaceable) or from the CPU/Motherboard or another part?

57-60 C during inactivity or minimal tasks
Issue continues to happen (including mouse freezing) within this temperature or up to 70 C
