Hi, I have a Ryzen 5 2600 that I overclocked to 4.1 GHz on 50C. I only adjusted the CPU multiplier in the BIOS, then I reset it back to normal to check the effect. Now, when I try to set it back to 4.1 GHz on the CPU multiplier, it just changes to 28 when I press enter on 41? Any idea why this happens and how to fix it!

Uncertain about the reason for dropping to x28, but setting "optimized defaults" in the BIOS should eliminate the OC.

Thanks, but I’d like to increase its speed because it’s working fine. Just don’t know how to do it!

Solved it !!!!! It was a big mistake. Instead of typing 41 I typed 4.1 which obviously doesn't work........

🤣 Yeah, x28 (2.8GHz) is likely the lowest setting in the BIOS - so choosing 4.1 (410MHz) is just rounding up to meet the requirement.
Simple oversight.
