Question My computer is constantly losing track of the NVMe drive.
Any idea why this is happening ? As
Bob.B
suggested, I even switched to my second M.2 slot on the motherboard that below the GPU, and it works fine, it recognizes my M.2
But there is a new problem, Only 1 sata port works if I use my second nvme slot/m.2 slot. As in if my Sata SSD is plugged in sata port 3 , it only registers it, where as my HDD that is plugged in port 5, it doesn't recognizes it.
But if I switch my Nvme SSD to slot 1(above the GPU) suddenly my SSD that is plugged in sata port 3 and HDD in port 5 BOTH WORK.
Bios sata setup
Sorry if this is confusing. This is my current sata setup which works (the only problem being the reason for which I started this thread)
Transfer your SATA drives to various ports.
M.2 SATA drive in M2_1 turns off sata ports SATA5 and SATA6.
M.2 SATA drive in M2_2 turns off sata ports SATA1 and SATA2.
Only sata ports SATA3 and SATA4 stay working in all setups.
Refer to your motherboard's user manual.

I've changed to M2_1 and Sata 3,4 before switching to M2_1 Sata 3,5 which didn't work as expected, but it's been functioning well for a while now. Hopefully, this will prevent any more issues. Happy holidays!!
