Hello everyone. I've been facing an issue for about two years now. It involves my GPU, a RX 480 with 8GB overclocked by MSI (gaming x). I'm not expecting much performance now, although I understand it's quite old. Still, it can handle many games at medium settings, and I've recently finished titles like RE8 or RDR2 with good quality without too many issues.

However, the problem arises when I install games made by Unreal Engine 4. In almost 90% of cases, my system shuts down unexpectedly. As soon as I launch the game—whether entering the main menu or starting the game itself—I notice my fans suddenly roar loudly, the monitor turns off, and it puts me in standby mode. I can only press the power button with my finger to turn it back on.

I recall reading that this issue is common with AMD cards when running games at full FPS. Sometimes, by checking and editing the ini file to lock FPS at 30 or 60, I can get the game to launch. But even then, the game runs poorly, with lots of stuttering and freezing.

Recently, almost any game using Unreal Engine 4 has crashed for me, even when FPS is capped. For example, Psychonauts 2 crashes immediately at the main menu, regardless of whether I adjust the FPS or force VSync through the AMD driver.

What should I do? Where do you think this problem originates?
