I own an HP Elitedesk 800 G3 and recently noticed that after waking from sleep, the mouse would pause for a few seconds—between 1 and 3 seconds—at random intervals, lasting about 2 to 5 seconds. After waking, it would resume normal operation. This issue occurs across all USB ports except one on the front port, which remains responsive immediately. I suspect this might be connected to the USB Selective Suspend setting being disabled in the power plan. Testing multiple mice confirmed the problem only appears during wake-up, not during boot or restart. It’s possible the bent pins in the CPU socket from a previous purchase could be affecting performance, though other components seem fine. The processor is a Pentium G4560T.

It might be the power-saving feature activating. You can visit "Device Manager" and verify this setting. Make sure it stays enabled, even when in standby mode, especially if you're using a USB charger.
