I started Microsoft Edge today and noticed the search bar at the top suddenly changed to dark mode, making the URLs hard to read. It wasn’t because I adjusted anything or installed a browser update. The odd thing is, there was no change in settings or recent updates that could cause this. It just happened. Did anyone else see this or know what caused it?

It turned out the issue arose from a change in the theme I was employing (through Microsoft's official store). I installed the Halo - Alpha Halo theme, but it unexpectedly glitched. Since it hasn't been updated since January 2021 and the default should display darker blue hues with a white search bar background, the problem was resolved. Reverting to the default theme restored the lighter search bar. To address this, I used the "inspect" option in the browser, saved the background URL locally, and adjusted Edge settings to "Cool Slate." The page now uses a lighter background, making the text more readable (though I still prefer dark mode). Here’s the link for reference: https://i.imgur.com/99VkJOj.jpeg
