Question Kernel Power Event ID 41
Question Kernel Power Event ID 41
I want to start by mentioning that I reside in Italy and bought a PC from an Italian shop. Right after receiving it, I faced repeated problems where the computer would shut down during gameplay. Sometimes the DP ports on my GPU would disappear, and when it shut down, I had to cut power to the PSU and then restart before I could turn it back on. I reached out to the seller, who insisted it was because I hadn’t fully powered off the system and also didn’t switch off the power supply. This wasn’t an issue with my previous machine, even when I kept it in sleep mode all the time. Later, they told me it was due to adjusting the settings in Adrenaline and enabling overclocking—something I hadn’t done. Eventually, I had to send the PC back for testing, where they found only corrupted files related to Apex Legends and noted that I had installed Ryzen Master. They kept saying I was at fault because I changed the graphics settings via Adrenaline, even though their tests showed no problems. Although the event viewer shows Event ID 41 errors, I’m still experiencing a kernel power error. I really need someone to assist me with this. Below is the list of components in my PC:
Ryzen 7 7800X3D
Seasonic G12 850W 80+ Gold
Gigabyte B650 Aorus Elite AX AM5
Deepcool LS720 Liquid 360mm
Trident Z5 Neo RGB DDR5 32GB 6000MHZ
Kingston Fury Renegade 2TB M.2 PCIe 4.0 7300mb/s
Gigabyte Radeon RX 7900 XTX
Windows 11
I don’t have any DMP files in the minidump, but I do have DMP files under LiveKernelReports. There are two separate folders; AMD_WATCHDOG and WATCHDOG. I’m unfamiliar with DMP files or this topic, so if anyone can help me understand what’s happening so I can resolve it, I would be extremely grateful. Thank you!
I'm not certain about the precise purchase date, but I got the PC in late May. Previously, I used OCCT without any problems with the PSU then.
Ryzen 7 7800X3D. Apologies, I believed I included it in the initial message.
I don't own a power supply with sufficient power for my current computer, though I could look for a repair shop. I didn't consider testing the PSU because it performed well during the stress test.
When you need to switch the power supply on and off, it triggered a safety mechanism.
The issue is that it will fully stop my PC and this keeps happening whenever I attempt to play games. I can play one game without problems, but switching to another causes it to crash. I'm not sure why this is happening.
