In the afternoon, I upgraded my PC with an i9-14900k, a Z790-P Wi-Fi booster, and a new power supply. It was then that I noticed it was running 100 watts more than necessary. After the upgrade, the system experienced some Kernel-Power problems, particularly while gaming.

I have taken these steps so far regarding game loading issues and other problems:
Updated BIOS
Updated GPU
Windows 11 installed
Attempted to disable fast startup on Windows 11
Reset CPU and fan settings
Checked RAM usage
Could the power supply be too large for the wattage I was using?
I’m not keen to spend £200 if there’s another reason...

Game crashes occurred in:
CS-GO – does not load
Valoriant – loads but crashes instantly
Mincraft – loads but crashes after ten minutes or ten seconds
Additionally, recent blue screen Kernel-Power events appeared when opening Chrome or Google.

While monitoring the CPU, usage spiked near 100% right before the crash. I’m unsure if this is related to the issue.

I’ve attached screenshots above; if you can’t view them, please let me know.
Thanks

Are the full specifications provided, including the power supply unit's make and model? Did you perform a clean OS installation following the update, or are you attempting to run the installation on the previous system?

PC Specifications
A fresh installation was completed, though saved files were retained since the M2 wasn't upgraded.

A fresh setup won’t keep saved data, those must come from your backup. If your "clean install" didn’t remove files it was probably a reset rather than a reinstall. Also, please share complete system details, Sysinfo is practically worthless—it only displays the CPU and motherboard info, minimal RAM data, no GPU details, and no PSU information. PSU details are crucial for diagnosing power problems. If you’re unsure about your PSU, check the side panel; the info should be there.
