Question: Is the Shelly Smart Plug suitable for a 750W appliance?
According to Shelly, the PSU can handle up to 2500W and more importantly, around 12A. The screenshot shows the maximum load being well over 12A. It’s worth noting that the power outlet is EU 240V. I’m still unsure if the Shelly plug is safe for this setup. One thing is clear: 2500W exceeds 750W peak, and the amperage far surpasses the smart plug’s rating of 12A. Do I have a misunderstanding? Thanks in advance.
In that scenario I could remove the connection (just a joke about buying it).
Thanks a lot, really value your assistance on the forum.
I had to go through this again after noticing a mistake. At 100 volts, the PSU's power consumption will reach 10 amps, which is its maximum. When it's at 240 volts, the draw drops to 5 amps. This means you now have more room, since your wall outlet supports 230 volts.
