Hello. Today, I bought a new Dell Precision 7820 with a Dell 5WNJ2 motherboard. The system comes with Windows 10 x64 pre-installed. I have a Western Digital WD_BLACK AN1500 NVMe PCIe SSD Add-in Card. I want to install this card into my PC and set up Windows. I tried using a Dell Precision T5610 workstation, but it showed an error saying the motherboard doesn’t support installing Windows on a PCI SSD drive. I’m wondering if I can still install Windows on this PCI SSD in my new Dell Precision 7820? What settings should I check to confirm compatibility?

Is there a native M.2 slot for an NVMe storage device on this motherboard? If not, skip it. Opt for a SATA III drive in 2.5" size instead.
