I have a laptop purchased in the US that I'm bringing to Sweden next month. Can I obtain a new power cable compatible with Swedish voltage, or should I buy a new laptop once I arrive? I'd prefer not to replace the device unless absolutely necessary. Thank you.

Search for a power adapter suited to Sweden's voltage and frequency, specifically 220v-60hz.

If it's merely a power cable, you can purchase it at any electrical shop. But if it's intended for a laptop, it might contain a transformer, so you should look for one specifically designed for your device. Power adapters could be suitable for travelers, but not necessarily for people relocating to a new country.

Verify the power adapter for your laptop.
It might already accommodate the required voltage range for Sweden. In that case, only a power cable is needed.
If the adapter doesn't accept 220V input, you'll have to purchase a different one.
