I believe you're focusing on the incorrect power supplies. LC-Power chose to offer their Silver 80 Plus model under the same name, just with a different badge.
As per the details, the 80 Plus Silver version is rated at 350W combined on the +12V rail.
Still, the concerns about using this are well-founded. LC Power tends to produce poor products, and most of their power supplies should not be used, which fits here. Using this PSU with a new GPU—even briefly—would likely be a bad decision.

You are testing the boundaries of that power supply with your setup. It is advised to consider upgrading the PSU as well.

The 12v output is designed for 228w total, meaning it's nowhere near the 460w PSU you're using. It's actually performing better than expected.
