Question I made a mistake with OC Genie 4....
I recently purchased a new CPU (Ryzen 5 3600 6 core) and a new motherboard (AMD B450-A Pro MAX). My CPU was running at about 90° with only 3% usage. Since I'm still confused, I thought it might be trying to maintain that temperature, so I checked the BIOS settings to see if I could find anything. I started the OC Genie 4 function, but because I've enabled it on my monitor, keyboards, and other connected devices, they didn't start unless my USB-connected LEDs did. Anyone have any advice on how to turn off OC Genie 4 without accessing the BIOS or making any changes? Thanks in advance.
You may need to manually reset the BIOS if standard access isn't possible. Refer to p.38 in the manual, which advises shorting the jumper on the motherboard. P.25 indicates its location on the board, near the battery and JBAT1. Power off the PC, unplug it, and if a jumper exists, connect it to the two pins to short it. If no jumper is present, use a small flat-head screwdriver to touch both pins simultaneously for about 10 seconds. Either method should reset the BIOS. Enjoy
