Question High temperatures on my 5900x
I'm sitting idle at 70c and reaching 85-92c+ when playing on Marvel Rivals... I just discovered this problem because I haven't checked my temperatures in a while. Recently, I cleaned the radiator fans and my whole PC thoroughly, so that shouldn't be the cause either, as well as applying new thermal paste, which might not be it... Is my AIO gone and should I buy a new cooler? I'm confused. (Yes, I know it's a prebuilt unit and I didn't roast me because I got it for free from a friend, but I switched the CPU to a 5900x.)
Cooling: 240AIO Deepcool Castle 240EX (from XIDAX, prebuilt), plus 3 back right fans.

For your AIO, is it possible that one tube becomes hot while another stays cold? If this happens, it might mean the pump caved in. Is the radiator releasing heat? If yes, then your AIO is functioning properly. Regarding the processor upgrade, did you update the BIOS to the latest version before replacing it with the Ryzen 9 5900x? What thermal paste were you using after the swap?
The 5900x was in October 2021, I changed the bios then... I haven't updated it since, should that be something I should try? Also, I’m not sure if the tubes are hot, but the overall ambient temperature makes them feel warm. I’ve always used the same thermal paste, Arctic MX-5... You mention pump cavitation, how would you fix that or would a new cooler be necessary? I think my cooler is probably just faulty at this point. As far as I know, all three on the back are intake fans, with blades curving away.

The cooler might not suffice for 5900x, but it performs well up to 95°C without throttling. For the cooler, ensure the pump operates at maximum speed. You can also attempt to manage CPU voltages more effectively—use BIOS settings for "Curve optimizer" and adjust it between -10 and -30.
