Question Frame rate stuttering throughout Windows
Question Frame rate stuttering throughout Windows
This problem is occurring across Windows 11 and becomes more evident in Overwatch 2. It has been ongoing for some time, so I've changed my CPU, which caused the system to freeze randomly every few minutes and this same issue. I've replaced the GPU, RAM sticks, PSU, MOBO, and performed a clean install and upgrade to Windows 11 on a new M.2 drive—but the problem continues. I'm not sure what's triggering it. My RAM sticks have a clock rate of 4000 but the system runs at 2400. I've tried enabling XMP, but sometimes it doesn't work, or it causes a blue screen or restarts. Perhaps there are missing steps to reach 4000 MHz. I've only used two RAM sticks and still faced the same issue. All drivers and BIOS have been updated.
Confirming your setup process for a clean installation and upgrade to Windows 11 on a new M.2 drive. Are you sure you started with Windows 10 and upgraded via the official method? After that, generate a bootable USB using Windows Media Creation Tools, then reinstall the OS without connecting to the internet. Ensure all relevant drivers are downloaded and saved on a pen drive before proceeding.
It started as Windows 10, but after some time it stopped working properly, so I chose to upgrade to Windows 11. The installation ended midway and kept me back to the repair screen. Eventually, I created a bootable USB with Windows 11 and installed it completely fresh. After that, I updated the drivers.
