CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X
GPU: currently own RTX 3060, but wish to upgrade to RTX 4070Ti (https://www.amazon.com/MSI-GeForce-RTX-4...B0BNWBJ8Z6)
Motherboard: B350M PRO-VDH
I verified PSU calculators on three different sites; one suggested 800-899 watts, another 600-699 watts (the manufacturer mentioned at least 700 watts for the RTX 4070 Ti and referenced compatibility with the motherboard type).

The PSU in your build is from the manufacturer's recommendation regarding compatibility with the motherboard. You can find this information in the product documentation or on the manufacturer's website.

I don't know the age of the PSU at the time it was made, but I purchased it in 2016 (product details state First Available Date is March 12, 2014).
Someone asked if the 4070 Ventus sag will be affected without the included support beam.
That would depend on elements like the motherboard you connect with this graphics card and the force used on the retention screw in the case.

Maybe they were talking about the slot on the motherboard, but actually most motherboards over the last two years have added reinforcement around the first PCIe x16 port. Sag is unavoidable when you compare the thickness of the cards to the RTX2000 line. You should consider a support solution for the card, like a telescopic stand—something similar but not identical.

I was wondering about how long the PSU has been running, not its original production date. Based on what you shared, it seems your unit is around seven years old. When buying the RTX4070Ti, I’d want to replace the PSU if it’s been in use for a while, as it won’t deliver the same power output as when it was new.
