I play Wow, alongside a few others.
In the past four days, my standard 175fps has fallen to between 23 and 60 maximum.
-I have tested the CPU, GPU, everything is fine, temperatures stay below 55 degrees for each. Forza 5 also only reaches 88fps, BUT Wow Classic still runs at 175 as does ATS, so it seems inconsistent.
-I have verified the memory, everything looks good.
-Checked all hard drives, no bad sectors found.
-The GPU performs well, achieving 175-209fps in "Heaven". I adjusted settings from 10 to 6, which slightly boosts FPS to 115. Tried level 1, but it remains at 115.
-I haven’t made any changes to my PC recently and can maintain 175fps without problems, even in crowded cities, though there’s some lag. When I’m alone, I usually stay near or at 175.
-I also experimented with an AW3420DW set at 120fps, but it didn’t exceed 75-80 fps.
I’m wondering if I’m missing something obvious that would make this a simple fix.
Any advice, suggestions, ideas? I’ve even reinstalled Windows 11 and still only get Wow running, without reaching the previous results since the GPU was installed.
Thanks.

I also performed a fresh Windows 11 setup and experienced minimal improvement beyond a good impression, still lacking the performance I expected after the GPU was installed. Have you recreated the bootable USB installer for your OS to check for any corruption? Also, did you install the operating system without an internet connection?

EVGA 1200P2 psu
What is the age of the PSU in your system?
In the past four days, my typical 175fps has decreased to 23–60 frames per second.
It might be helpful to use DDU to clear all GPU drivers, then reinstall manually using the newest driver from Nvidia's support site. Run the installer with elevated privileges—right-click the installer and select Run as Administrator.

Mod note:
I’ve adjusted the specifications to match your build, pulling them from your personal space. These specs may change over time, so this thread and its solutions may no longer be applicable to your current situation.

I have confirmed there was no corruption in the installer, it was indeed in offline mode. It was a Windows 10 setup that I had used several times before, a legitimate registration, official and costly original version. After upgrading to 11, the same issue occurred. I suspect the power supply unit is about two years old or newer. I performed a clean install and installed the driver prior to the latest one, but the outcome remained the same. 🙁
But I’m willing to give it another shot and hope it works.

Tried the DDU, cleared everything, reinstalled from the downloaded file as Admin, same outcome
🙁
The only observation I made is that whenever I work with Nvidia drivers, etc.
When I return to WOW, the Max Foreground stays at 0 of 175 and is very slow, so I just move the slider up to 175 and keep going, but it only reaches around 53-63fps
It’s strange that one setting in WOW graphics always drops to zero, while all other settings remain unchanged, which probably means nothing, now I guess.
For whatever it is worth, I switched to Classic Wow and even then it’s only around 135-145, similar to the retail version, which used to be consistently at 175.
And internet speed doesn’t seem to affect the FPS at all? I’m getting about 96Mbps download, which I think is okay.

I just looked into MSI AB and the GPU usage which previously reached nearly 100% in wow on ultra. Now it's around 80%, not exceeding that much. When I ran the Heaven benchmark before, it was at full capacity. Recently, after five minutes, it's at 93%, again staying close to 100%.
