I use Windows 11 with a Samsung 500 GB external drive as my main storage. I'm trying to browse an image and navigate to documents where I can copy files and paste them into my system. I only reach folders and nothing appears when opening the documents. If Macrium Reflect 8 could assist, I'd be grateful. "Bac kup and restore" works, but the issue is with individual files, not just folders.

What method are you using to access the image? I've used MR 8 before.

Could you clarify how the new number appears after restoring and browsing files in Macrium? I believe a fresh # is created, but I’m unsure where to access it. I see a folder named "documents" but it’s empty. Please guide me through the process so I can locate the file again. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

MR v8.1.7909
Current Backups
In the right-hand pane, scroll until you locate the image you need
Right-click and select Browse Image
Assign it a drive letter and click OK
It should then show up in File Explorer under that letter.

I followed your instructions and when I clicked on documents in the new letter H, it was empty but all my files were at the left in documents. This is within the path of the new letter H, not the first letter F or the C drive. Should I have noticed files in the first documents or was it okay?

You need to view an image of what you're referring to. For the documentation you mentioned, it's unclear whether they came from the previous storage device or your present one.

I attempt to locate files in documents within the image and file explorer. The image reaches into folders labeled documents but then disappears. File explorer under its letter functions correctly. I cannot upload a picture to demonstrate. I used the snip tool, but will try OneDrive since others aren't working.
