I hadn't played Doom 2016 recently, but when I logged into Steam, it seemed my progress was gone. Checking the Steam Cloud showed a save from today. There was an update mentioned about this issue occurring more often for Steam cloud saves. Any ideas? Thanks.

no local save file will be created and the cloud won't have it.
i haven't heard steam mention a restore function before.

I have a follow-up question about adjusting the difficulty in Doom 2016. I was thinking if it's possible to reset to the easiest setting to recover from losing all my save files. After returning to the Argent Energy Tower, I plan to revert it back to Hurt Me Plenty. Also, I'm no longer relying on Steam cloud storage and now save games are stored locally only.
