Hey guys, I'm having a tough time with Divinity Original Sin 2. My computer keeps dropping frames for about five seconds straight. I'm using Thermaltake fans and the TT RGB Plus software, but these drops are really bad. The system stops talking to the fan hubs or freezes when it tries to use the software while playing. It's all on Steam, my files are verified, and everything is set to maximum settings. I have no idea how to fix this.

Here are the details on this setup: What's the model of motherboard and what version is the BIOS running? Do you know how hot your processor and graphics card get when they're off or when gaming? Have you tried playing any game and noticed problems?

MSI MPG X570 GAMING EDGE WIFI (Model MS-7C37) has BIOS Version E7c37AMS.1J0. CPUz says the version is 1.J0 and it runs AMD AGESA ComboAM4v2PI 1.2.0.7 with a Ryzen 7 5800X3D running on 32 Gb of Corsair DDR4 3200 RAM. It uses a Gigabyte 4080 gaming OC 2 - ADATA XPG SX8200 Pro 1TB 3D NAND NVMe Gen3x4 PCIe M.2 2280 Solid State Drive, and the power supply is an EVGA 80+ gold PSU rated at 1000 watts. Under load, Prime95 shows the CPU hitting 90c (I don't have time to test it in games right now but will). The GPU gets between 51 and 55c under load. Sometimes I see frame drops or stutters in some games, but I think that's just because we are loading new areas. Divinity is the only game causing me serious problems.

If just a single game is making things tough, it's likely that game itself to blame.
