On average, deshrouding a GPU typically reduces its size by several centimeters.

The shrouds are quite large, extending over 50% more length in silicon. Are you considering swapping them out or removing a portion of them?

I was thinking about how much you could shave off if you purchase another 9070 and disassemble it. That depends on the make and model of your case. You might need to check another case to fit your GPU segment into your build, especially since modifying a GPU out of the box can void your warranty.

The plan is to implement an effective cooling strategy for the GPU, ensuring optimal performance and longevity.

I plan to install two large fans above it, positioned between the heatsink and the case. This setup is for the Sugo16 (GPU on top).

The GPU's heat sink covers most of the shroud. If you have a case, you might consider using a dremel to clean it. Either way, you'll be restricting the GPU's performance. It might be better to opt for a smaller, less powerful card instead.

This appears to be a more effective approach.

It's a computer designed for that particular case, similar to other miniITX constructions

Absolutely, the plastic cover seems to fit snugly around the sink.

The shroud includes the heatsink and fans. The heatsink is almost as long as the shroud. I had to modify my HDD cage in the old Thermalright Armor Revo to fit my 4090. Fortunately, HDD cages are no longer that important.
