On my Dell Latitude E4310 laptop using Fedora 39 Linux Workstation edition or older versions, the cursor sometimes feels unusually heavy and moves quickly in a fast, diagonal direction toward the top right corner of the screen. Controlling it with the touchpad or the built-in keyboard stick is difficult and often unsuccessful. Turning the laptop over doesn’t help. After a short period, it usually works again. I haven’t found a clear cause yet. What might be happening?

I think the best approach is to manually download, reinstall, and set up the relevant mouse drivers.
If that doesn’t work, then explore any available error codes and check them.
Not a Linux user (full disclosure), but I hope the issue lies with software or drivers.
This isn’t related to hardware, such as a touchpad or stick.
