Hi everyone,
After relocating my PC to a new desk and reinstalling Windows, I’ve observed that CPU temperatures have risen compared to before. During regular gameplay, the temperature now sits between 70–75°C, whereas it was around 60°C under similar settings previously.
I’ve already run stress tests on both the CPU and GPU without any stability problems, checked background processes, and updated all drivers. The cooling system looks fine externally, but I haven’t opened the case yet.
Could this temperature change be linked to software adjustments (such as power settings or drivers), or could it stem from a hardware issue, like disturbed thermal paste during the move? What steps would you suggest I take first?

Have you verified the fan curves in the BIOS? Reinstalling Windows shouldn't have disrupted them, yet if your CPU's fans are slowing down, temperatures may increase. When you remove the case, ensure all relevant fans are operating. Ignore GPU card fans and the PSU fan if it's not running, but CPU cooler fans or AIO radiator fans must be active for proper cooling. A disconnected fan wire could also be an issue. If you use an AIO, also inspect the pump motor speed.
