I own a Corsair RMx Shift Series RM1200x PSU, which I installed into an ASRock Z97 Extreme Mobo. It worked immediately at first, but when I restarted the system later, it would power on but fail to connect to the monitor. I tried several troubleshooting steps—reconnecting cables, moving RAM, swapping out cables and outlets—but nothing resolved the issue. I reached out to Corsair, who suggested a "paperclip" test and confirmed it was faulty. They provided a PSU tester and followed their instructions, which indicated the original PSU was defective. Now the new PSU is also causing the same boot problem. What am I missing? Is there something Corsair is missing? Any advice would really help prevent more trouble. Thanks.

Tested both onboard and GPU connections. Utilized HDMI and VGA cables for both setups.

Are you confident the CPU is properly seated?
Is the fan loose?
Did you assemble this?
Please share any details you have.
Do you have a friend with a computer who can assist? This is very useful.

The new shift includes type 5 cables, not just those that came with the PSU.

I didn't touch the CPU; it's cooler since the old PSU is installed.
Yes, I assembled this setup.
I'm planning to consult my guru for advice.
