Question Computer stops working unexpectedly across all operating systems!
Hi,
I’ve had a prebuilt system randomly freeze recently, around November. I’ve tried all the available guides and performed scans, stress tests, malware checks, and even bought diagnostic tools. It’s a Lenovo build, so I used Vantage software and diagnostics—everything passed. CPU, GPU, RAM, all good. I did a clean Windows 11 installation, but the freezing continued. The screen would freeze and the mouse wouldn’t respond. The fans kept running, but I had to hard reset by pressing the power button. I wiped the drive and installed Linux Mint just to check if it was a hardware or OS issue. It still froze.
I’ve experimented with several Linux distributions too, but the problem remains. Now I’m asking for advice on whether to start troubleshooting at the hardware level first.

I did a clean fresh install of windows 11, but still the computer would freeze.
Where did you source the installer for the OS? Did you install the OS in offline mode?

I looked at my orders page on the website where I bought it from, and there it is listed as:
Lenovo Legion T5 Gaming Tower 26L Desktop PC (Intel Core i7-12700F, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 8GB GDDR6, Windows 11 Home).

Well, sorry for being a bit unclear, but I’m not sure what a SKU is. I searched and found it mentioned stock levels. It was bought in 2022.
I installed it using a bootable USB, and the current Windows 11 version was on the Microsoft site at that time. It was offline until I entered my details during setup—like user email, password, internet info, etc.
All the Linux distros were also from bootable USBs and stayed offline until fully installed. Then I entered my details to access online and check for updates.
