I'm not certain if this should be included in the GPU discussion, but I really don't understand what might be causing this issue, and I haven't found any solutions anywhere.

Reduce the force applied during installation. Also, verify and retest all connections, paying attention to the GPU, to ensure it wasn't partially removed from its connector.
