Question Cant launch a secure browser in private mode following modifying “target’ icon name in properties
I want the Brave browser to always launch in incognito mode, but after changing the icon name in properties, the target Brave is not opening. The target appears as:
“C:\Program Files\BraveSoftware\Brave-Browser\Application\brave.exe” -incognito
or
“C:\Program Files\BraveSoftware\Brave-Browser\Application\brave.exe” --incognito
I use Windows 10 Pro. The launcher icon is set to a compatibility version for Windows 8 because some sites didn’t work without it. My system isn’t in English, is this an issue? Could there be a configuration or register problem? Thanks.
What language does the system use?
Does the path function (Brave browser opens) with all that is displayed while omitting either "-incognito" or "--incognito"?
To ensure the application link is correct and the browser launches properly, even without "incognito".
The translated word is: Incognito.
I found the issue. The Duck Duck Go extension on Brave was the cause of the problem.
Appreciate the assistance.
