CPU: Intel Core i5-8400 at 2.80GHz, 2801 MHz, 6 cores, 6 logical processors
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970
RAM: 16 GB
SSD: CRUCIAL MX300 SSD
PSU: 650 Watt
This problem has only occurred recently. It happens between Modern Warfare and the Black Ops Cold War beta. When I launch the game, it either closes immediately or after up to five minutes without any errors.

I have tried the following solutions:
- Updating GPU drivers
- Updating CPU drivers
- Cleaning dust from my PC
- Checking CPU temperatures (report says 64°C in-game)
- Running the game as administrator
- Adjusting game settings to lower performance

I will only attempt a full PC reset if necessary, as I reset it about a month ago. I suspect a malware issue but haven’t confirmed it yet. I’m currently running a complete scan with Windows Defender. Thank you for your assistance. Also, my CPU usage appears unusually high when the games run. I believe the problem lies with my CPU, though I can’t identify the exact cause. Thanks again.

Your PSU is [insert age], and your hardware matches the recommended specifications for Cod Cold War.

I meet the recommended specs for Modern Warfare, and I meet the minimum specs for Black Ops Cold War. I would say that I installed my PSU around 2015 or so. My PSU is fine. If anything I would say that it's an issue with my CPU.

Consider performing a stress test to check for potential CPU crashes.

I completed a one-hour stress test using OCCT and everything went smoothly. No issues arose, and the system performed well.

It might be related to the beta version, so consider sharing it on the forum to attract more interest or reaching out to Activision for support.

It's not just about Black Ops Cold War. The same problems are also affecting Modern Warfare. I'm unable to play either game at the moment. I've reached out to Blizzard, Reddit, and Activision Support, and they're the only ones who have responded so far. Thanks for your assistance.

start the task manager upon launching them, to see if anything unusual occurs during startup.

I had that before and it appears to consume a lot of CPU during startup, causing the overall usage to reach 100%, but then once it reaches the menu it seems to stabilize and drop back to around 50%. I'm concerned about this, though it's happened to me before.

Yeah, it's not unusual at all.
