The laptop I purchased, model A315-51-58C3, featuring an Intel Core i5-7200U processor (2.5 GHz with Turbo Boost up to 3.1GHz), Intel HD Graphics 620, 4GB DDR4 memory, and Windows 10, is unable to run even low-end games such as Morrowind or League of Legends at the lowest settings due to extremely low FPS and unplayability despite driver updates. I suspect there may be a missing element.

Affirmative. You require a gaming laptop. That device is not present.

It doesn’t make sense; he should still be able to play Morrowind and League. I had the same specifications and, in fact, with an even worse CPU, I was able to play more demanding games such as Oblivion, (old)CSGO, and even dishonored at lower settings.
